Sweetwaters Coffee Photo Essay

Laughing with a frequent customer, Greg Dodd the owner of Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, prepares her drink. "So many people just want to talk to someone about their day. It is amazing how open people are, even when I just ask how are you. I am a trapped listener, but I do really enjoy it." says Dodd. He continues to talk about how the customer interaction is his favorite part of his job.

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is an industrial yet inviting coffee shop located on Park St. in Columbia South Carolina. The goal of the shop is to mix a classic coffee shop with global influences, offering a place for people to catch up with others, get work done, or simply get a refreshment for the day. The Columbia location is housed under a mostly college student populated apartment complex. Becasue of this, the main crowd is college students and often lively.
