This video was filmed, edited, and presented within a 14-hour window. USC Dance Marathon is a student-run organization that raises funds for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. Every year there is a “Main Event” to celebrate the hard work of the year.

I filmed the day along with one of my staff members and fully edited it myself. It was shown at the end of the event and posted to @uscdancemarathon on Instagram the next day.

I shot on a Canon EOS R, with a 24-105mm lens, and a few shots on a 70-200mm.

USC Dance Marathon has a Morale team that is in charge of creating our yearly 8 minute long line dance to teach at the Main Event. Each year they dress up in their assigned colors and film a hype video to introduce them as they run out and perform the dance for the first time at the event.

This year we had the privilege of filming a Founder's Park where the USC men's baseball team plays. I filmed alongside two of my staffers, my VP, and somebody came to get drone footage. I edited the video together myself using all of the footage.

In my JOUR 447 class we had to create a How-To video of some sort to show the camera skills we had learned. We were given a set of different camera angles needed and were not allowed to use words or audio.

I chose to do a cocktail tutorial because I knew there would be a lot of different steps and cool close-up options.

Each year the VP of Communications is in charge of creating a campaign or theme for the year. I had the opportunity to brainstorm and create this campaign with the VP of Communications. Together we thought of "The True Heroes" to highlight all of the people who are heroes in this organization. This video was shown at our campaign reveal event where we announced the theme for the year.

The word "Hero" refers to an individual who is registered to come to our Main Event and fundraising but is not involved in the internal team. While every single one of them is a hero, there are so many other people who are heroes in the organization as well. From internal members to child life specialists, to our miracle families, and so many more, everyone involved is a hero.

To create this video I along with the VP of Communications filmed many people to highlight every type of hero. I filmed with 2 miracle families, the child life specialists, a few internal members, an organization team captain, and a couple of alumni.

This video is very close to my heart. On July 5th, 2023, my childhood best friend tragically passed away in a car accident. To keep her legacy going the town of Fishers Indiana put on the first annual memorial walk for her. It took place on October 1st, 2023, and her family asked me to create a video for it. Someone was there getting drone footage, I filmed everything else and edited the video.

One of the most fun days in the Panhellenic community is Bid Day. This is the day when all of the potential new members are offered a bid to a chapter and get to find out. It is a day where current members get to welcome new people in with open arms and all of the smiles are so much fun to capture.

The Sisterhood round of Panhellenic recruitment is designed to show the bonds of the members of each chapter. I spent the whole year planning shoots, getting content at events, and taking submissions from other members. I had hundreds of videos to go through to put this video together.

During this round, I was talking to a girl going through recruitment and she said to me "Wow I love all of these videos. You need to tell whoever made them that they did a great job." I got to tell her with a proud smile that it was me. It was a really validating moment for me.

Philanthropy Round is a time for the Panhellenic community to share what philanthropies they support and what they are passionate about. This video showcases USC Delta Zeta's main two philanthropy events and what they support. I worked with all of our community service chairs to interview them as well as got content at both philanthropy events.

Speech and Hearing: Delta Zeta's National philanthropy is speech and hearing. We work with a hard-of-hearing classroom local to Columbia, SC. We also host a fundraising event called "BarkBQ" where people from the USC or Columbia community come and listen to live music, eat BBQ, and bring their dogs. All proceeds go to our philanthropy partner which this year was the Starkey Hearing Foundation

Sweet Caroline: Sweet Caroline is Delta Zeta's local philanthropy that we support in honor of our late sister Caroline Terry who passed away from acute leukemia while she was a member. We host a bone marrow registry drive each year to add more names to the list of cancer patients.

"10 Words to Describe Delta Zeta" was the theme that Panhellenic gave us for Round 1 of recruitment. I worked with the executive board as video chair to select those 10 words and each of them picked one to elaborate on.

This video is the first impression girls get of the chapter so it is very important to share the most important values.

I filmed all of the interviews with a Canon 5D, Bluetooth microphones, and a tripod.

Throughout Main Event in 2023, we had "Power Hours" where we challenged people to raise a certain amount of money in the hour. They are all themed based on different aspects of people involved and this one was all about the current USCDM community.

I filmed half of the clips (the clips with the whole classroom in the background) with a tripod and a basic clip-on microphone.

This year we had the privilege of filming in the lockerrooms at Williams Brice Stadium and at the Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility where our Gamecocks play. I filmed alongside three of my staffers and edited the video myself.

During my freshman year of college, I had the opportunity to cover a 24-hour event at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of South Carolina called

"CreateAThon. CreateAThon is an event where a bunch of creative students get assigned to different nonprofits and help them improve different multimedia aspects of their nonprofit. From logos to website pieces, to advertising pieces, the students work for 24 hours straight to help them improve their nonprofit. After the 24 hours is up students present their work to the clients.

My job was to capture the students in action by getting photo and video content and I was able to learn so much from different Visual Communications professors during this time. This video recapped the whole day was was posted to the SJMC Instagram account for others to see what was accomplished.

This was my final for my ENGL 102 class. We were asked to reflect on how literacy affects our everyday lives and I decided to make a video about what it taught me in film. It stretched me to see the deeper meanings in film and videography while also giving me the opportunity to make something in the medium I am the most passionate about.

I got the opportunity to film on the sidelines of the football game and capture all of the events of the 2021 Homecoming game. This was such a cool opportunity and gave me a glimpse into what sports videography could look like. We won the game, crowned the homecoming queen and king, and I got to watch my twin sister on the homecoming court.

This was a fun little video I did with some of the members of the student council to announce the themes for Virtual Spirit Week! We met at a park and I filmed them showing off their best for each theme of spirit week. It was really cool to see how spirited the students were even though we didn't go to school in person.

"Make it a great day." is what Mr. Wight my high school principal said every morning on the school announcements. When the new freshman class couldn't start high school in person during the 2020-2021 school year, I worked with Mr. Perks my Adobe teacher to create a video to encourage them. While he went around the school getting videos of teachers giving messages, I worked to get 50+ students to send me videos of them saying the phrase "We got this!" This video was sent out to the freshman class during their online orientation to show them that we were all there for them even through a screen.

The final video I created as the president of "Friendship Studios" a multimedia club at my high school, was a senior video for my class. We spent most of the year in online school but still managed to have a pretty great year. Here is a compilation of both footage captured by me and photos and videos sent from other students.

Taking it all the way back to the first video I made for my high school. In my senior year of high school at Apex Friendship High School, I was given the opportunity to serve as the president of "Friendship Studios", a multimedia club I created with Mr. Perks my Adobe teacher. This was a really special one to capture how the seniors were making the most of a virtual senior year during COVID-19.
